About This Event
Jon Boden is one of the most decorated musicians in English folk, best known as lead singer of Bellowhead, the 11-piece folk big band that achieved unmatched success in English traditional music. A fiddle player, singer and composer, Boden has won 11 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards — more than any other musician. At the What a Wonderful World Festival in Alnwick, Boden performs The Floodplain Trilogy, weaving together contemporary reflections on the climate crisis with sung narratives from three solo albums. Backed by his band the Remnant Kings, it is a deeply personal artistic response to environmental crisis from an artist who has spent over a decade exploring these themes through folk music.
