Angels of the North 2026 — Children's Choir Concert

Angels of the North is the North East's largest annual children's choir concert, staged at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead. Now in its 12th year, the event brings together 350 to 400 children from schools across the region to perform as a single massed choir to a sold-out audience of family and friends. Over 5,000 children have taken part over the years. The music is specially selected to create a diverse repertoire, introducing young performers to the widest possible spectrum of styles. With a combination of singing, dancing and comedy, the concerts are known for their fun, electric atmosphere. It is a celebration of young talent from across the North East — nothing to do with Antony Gormley's sculpture, but every bit as uplifting.
